I’m a California Tortilla fan–it’s good, affordable food that is locally-owned (despite the name) and they have lots of vegetarian options. This is all I could ever ask of a food establishment. I am not, however, much of a Pop Tart fan. If you are, you will find that your two loves collide tomorrow at California Tortilla’s free Pop Tart Day. Hey, you can eat mine for me!
Wednesday, May 28th is the 14th Annual Pop Tart Day at CalTort. (CalTort is what us hip kids are calling the California Tortilla these days, by the way). They hope to give away 20,000 free Pop Tarts to customers tomorrow. One of those Pop Tarts can be yours if you stroll into any of their locations during the day.
I do wonder if they heat the Pop Tarts up for you or simply hand them to you cold? If anyone has insider knowledge about this, let me know.
You can find the CalTort nearest to you here. Along the Red Line in Maryland, you’ll find restaurants on Cordell Avenue in Bethesda, Baltimore Avenue in College Park, in Rockville Town Center, and in the Burnt Mills Shopping Center in Silver Spring. In D.C., there are CalTorts in the Verizon Center and on Connecticut Avenue in Cleveland Park.

You do at least take them out of the packaging before you eat them, right? ;p
